This team builds the foundations of AirPlay, that powers the customer experience of iOS, macOS, tvOS and visionOS real time AirPlay audio, and focuses on future directions. The Audio and Media Technologies (AMT) provides the media and graphics foundation across all of Apple's innovative products including iPhone, iPad, Mac, AppleTV, VisionPro and operating systems. Combining ground breaking software techniques with next-generation hardware, AMT takes the media experience to the next level. If you are passionate about solving complex problems with elegant and creative solutions, then this job maybe a perfect fit for you. **Description** The Audio and Media Technologies (AMT) is looking for a senior software engineer to join our team to work on AirPlay Audio. We are looking for expert developers that have debugged complex and layered software stacks. You will be curious, self-motivated, and thorough when they approach new challenges. As an engineer on our team you will be responsible for crafting and implementing new features in AirPlay across our product lines. You will be able to collaborate effectively on a team, and thrives in a dynamic, highly fluid environment. **Minimum Qualifications** + Strong programming skills with C and/or C++ Expertise in real time audio programming and/or audio drivers + Experience debugging problems in a highly concurrent environment + Experience with using and developing media libraries especially for mobile platforms **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with programming in Objective-C and/or Objective-C++ Experience in developing and maintaining an API for multiple clients + Experience programming on embedded systems + Familiarity with inner workings of media systems and audio/video codecs + Familiarity with network media streaming protocols such as RTP and RTSP + Familiarity with the TCP/IP suite of protocols + An upbeat, adaptable, and results oriented with a positive attitude **Pay & Benefits** At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,500 and $258,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
